Who is responsible
The data controller is Techlounges association, which runs the Basel AI Festival. Postal address: to be completed before launch. For any privacy question, write to hello@baselaifestival.ch.
What we collect
Only your email address, when you sign up for festival updates on this website. We do not ask for your name or any other details, and this website sets no tracking cookies.
Why we use it
To send you festival updates: registration dates, the programme and speaker announcements, roughly once a month until the festival in January 2027. We do not sell or share your address, and we do not use it for anything else.
Legal basis
Your consent. After you sign up you receive one confirmation email, and you are only added to the list once you confirm (double opt-in). This follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nLPD / revFADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Art. 6(1)(a)).
Who processes it
Emails are stored and sent by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France), our email service provider, on our behalf. Data is processed in the European Union.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe, or until the newsletter is discontinued. After you unsubscribe, your address is no longer used for mailings, and you can ask us to delete it entirely.
Unsubscribe and your rights
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time. You can also ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of your data by writing to hello@baselaifestival.ch. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
